A Love Story
This is a love story for in truth it is our story, yours and mine. Two young people met and grew up together. They became acquainted quite by accident on the phone for a business purpose. After weeks of talking, they became very comfortable with one another's personalities and enjoyed the same sense of humor. She then asked him to come to her business for a cup of coffee. Something extraordinary happened, when they looked at one another both were silent and somewhat stunned. An electricity, but not quite, shot between them. This was an energy that neither of them had ever experienced and there were no words to adequately describe what they astonishingly felt. Tears came to their eyes and no words were yet spoken. As the elevator opens, the stranger loosens his grip and the victim falls on the floor. Covering his bleeding eyes, Artemis winces from severe pain. The man whistles away as he walks past the dead body of the security guard in the lobby to the snowy road outside the building. His victim crawls out of the closing elevator. The curse is true.
