After a year marking the end of the Rat King's reign, Christmas is coming around once again. The time Mary has been patiently waiting for since she was sent back home. Things aren't the same without N.C. and their friends, and she's determined to see them again this year, even if it's just a dream. But that's not the only person she's excited for...
Rebecca, a cousin from her father's side, is coming to see them for the first time. Excitement would be an understatement for how Mary was feeling. Friends and new family for Christmas seemed too good to be true. And perhaps it was.
Rumors have been spreading around N.C.'s city; the missing Rat King will be returning to take over the kingdom once and for all, and this time they might not be able to stop it.
