The most powerful magic, both above and below the waters, are contained within the legendary Miraculous Jewels. Those bestowed with its power can cross the boundary between the underwater world and our world.
They bore the ultimate responsibility and test of integrity- they were chosen to protect a world that wasn't theirs. They were granted poweful abilities to accomplish this.

But such power comes with a price. As soon as you wear the jewel, you are bound to it for life. And so, until the day you die, there will be a price on your heart.
Because whoever kills one of the mermaids and steals their heart will be granted one wish.

The only way for Adrien to bring his mother back is to steal a mermaid's heart.
And make a wish.

So one fateful day, Adrien goes out to the Pier to kill the mermaid, Marinette, and take her heart...

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world. The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
