I have a solid group of friends, AKA my teammates. We're all superheroes that go to Halcyon high school, where our dormitories are located. During my time as a teenager, I've been a pest. Will I ever change my old ways? Am I the praised fox that brings fortune and beauty and good luck, or am I the fox that is frowned upon for her trickery and pestering ways that lead people to their demise?

"What's your problem?" He asks darkly. "What's your problem?" I spit back. "Why do you keep following me?" He hisses. "I don't follow you!" I shout back. -Blake- Rose stands not too far in front of the ring looking at me, her face is pale and my gut twists in ways it never has. She shouldn't be here, why the hell is she here? My hands drop to my side, the victorious feeling once flowing through me is replaced with one of dread. She saw me fighting. ------- -Rose- "Alright. Time for you to go." He says. I feel the pull on my arm as he tries to take me away but my feet feel like they are glued to the ground as I continue to look at Blake. He has a little smirk on his face as he looks over the crowd. A look so completely different than any of the ones I saw the other day. Then our eyes meet, and his smirk drops. He drops his hands that were just held high in victory and looks at me like he's seeing a ghost. The guard pulls harder on my arm and I go flying back into his chest. "Listen here, I don't want to manhandle you, so do as I fucking say. Move." He growls as he pushes me into the crowd of celebrating people. I do what he says and start walking towards the exit, but I look over my shoulder one last time before I'm too far in the crowd to see anything. [Now With Photos!] Who are you? No, I don't mean your character. Who are you? I wonder this question every time I go to a con. I try to find a quiet spot and people watch. And my eyes are always drawn to the cosplayers: the young, the old, the experienced, the store-bought newbies, everybody. But even as I pose and smile, as the flash goes off, I wonder, who is this person? This person standing next to me, who has devoted so much time and so much more money to becoming this character? What is it about you, yes you, that compels you to travel, sometimes very far distances, to a con and give up an entire weekend to pretend to be someone you are not? It took me a couple of years to get the guts to start actually asking these questions. When I did, I wasn't disappointed. And that's where Masks Off came from. These serious "topics" can happen to anybody, even a human or AWTOK member. So far, I've already vented my uncomfortableness around my father, some of my struggles with religion, and feminine issues like periods. Please also be aware that this book will mention some controversial topics in the Mythical community, such as AWTOK, the "Masked Ones", Hunters, Multi-Breeds, and more. Some of these topics I do believe in, and some I do not. !!!Trigger Warning End!!! I am Alice Voltaire, a Nekomimi previously working under the security devision of the Mythical Protection Alliance (MPA) (around the December entries was when I start having issues, and December eleventh was when I planned out how to quit my job). The company is currently in undercover war with AWTOK/Hunters. This is serious, as many Mythicals have gotten serious injuries or killed, and innocent humans can be endangered. Even humans can find a place here in this journal, possibly choosing to work to become a Mythical (You will see later on in this book as I progress and grow as a person that I am prepared for war, but was hoping it did not happen). I am also a Neko Shapeshifter (meaning I have a full neko form) and later on in this book, I become a Kitsunemimi/unlock a Kitsunemimi form. I practice dream eating magic, but don't tend to use it often (later on, I start learning Confectiokinesis). I have more forms and powers than this, but please see me as a Kitsune.
