Maxwell Ivar Posner is a run away 18 year old from Santa Ana, California who made his way to Willoughby, Ohio. He finds work at a diner where the owner, Vivian takes him under her wing and helps him to his feet. While working that the diner Max meets Dalia Ivy Xander, the 17 year old, nerdy cheerleader from the town's private school. Max knows he doesn't have a chance with the red headed girl he refers to as "Lil Red" due to him not being able to remember her name. She was the beautiful cheerleader and he was the weirdo 'emo' kid who dropped out of high school to run away. Max and Dalia fight the feeling as the start to fall for each other. Before Max knows it, Lil Red has his black and white world filled with color.
