Returning to Beacon Hills after nearly five years proved to be much more stressful than Katarina had anticipated. She developed powers that were unknown to most supernatural beings, her brother was bitten and turned into a werewolf, and she's slowly falling in love with her brother's sarcastic and quirky best friend.

Together, Katarina, her best friend Annie, her brother Scott, and his best friend Stiles had overcome each obstacle thrown their way and defeated the alpha that turned Scott. Now, there's a new alpha on the loose and Derek is set on starting a new pack of his own. Three lonely teens are turned into werewolves to defend Derek against the fourth, Jackson Whittemore, that had transformed into something much deadlier.

Scott's girlfriend, who belongs to a family of infamous werewolf and supernatural being hunters, has new relatives moving into town, Lydia has rejected the bite of a werewolf, and new threats are much greater than discovering what Jackson, Lydia, and Katarina are before they slaughter the town.

Lives are threatened, people are dying, and the teens still have to worry about getting through sophomore year with passing grades.
