It's 1000 years in the future, and Itzan is the only country in the world (or so it's citizens believe). Every child ages 12-17 is sent to the ASA, where the learn about math, science, and Itzan's beliefs that not all humans are made equal. Alex is a 16 year old boy who, like anyone else, see's pretty much no problems in this system. But when 2 very strange girls tell Alex he is the Savior and the leader of a worldwide uprising, he didn't know what hit him. Literally.

Alex is your normal 16 year old, she has a loving family, an amazing boyfriend, and everything she could ask for.... Well, that's what she wishes for anyways. Alex is anything, but normal. All she has left in this world is her brother, John and she can't trust him. Her "boyfriend," Deraci, has a high rank job in the Center, where she is forced to live. He won't leave Alex alone, no matter how much she tries. She was able to escape the Center, but Deraci won't give up on her. He keeps sending soldiers after her and she continues to run and hide. That is until he sends Dylan. Dylan is able to locate Alex and gets her to return. Now that she's back, Deraci has set out to ruin everything and everyone she cares about. Alex tries to ignore Deraci, but somethings are just too hard to do alone. Then Alex is to be sent on a solo mission, but Dylan says it's too risky and convinces them to allow him to go with her. Will they survive this mission that could very easily kill one of them or both?
