How can you define a mortals life? You could compare it to the life of a candle. A candle burns bright in the beginning. It is beautiful and it gives warmth and light. It wavers here and there but for the most part it stands strong. The lovely light starts to dim towards the end, it's mesmerizing yellow and orange colors fade and soon it dies all together. The candles brightness and warmth is not forgotten so quickly though. It smokes for a while afterwards. The smoke fills the noses of whoever was close enough to the candle to smell it, and experience its once enthralling self. We immortals don't forget the candles. The smoke stays in our nostrils forever. We never forget. We never die. We just live on and on, always remembering our favorite candles..
