I pulled up beside her and she didn't notice me so I did something I haven't done in 300 hundred years. I talked.
"I've been in Colorado long enough to know the nights are real cold and you'll freeze your ass off."
She stopped short and turned to me.
But when her eyes set on me,
she looked like she had seen ghost.
"Y-y-you talked."
"What a shocker. You wanna a ride? "
"N-no, thanks."
"Come on."
"No."
"Please let me give you a ride."
"No."
I stopped the car, got out, opened up the passenger side and stood there.
"Get in the car."
"Why do you want me to get in the car?"
"Because I want to give you a ride."
"Why?"
"Because you made lunch enjoyable."
"Thanks but no thanks."
I walked toward her, picked her up under her arms and put her in the car.
