Trans- a prefix meaning "on the other side of," referring to the misalignment of one's gender identity with one's biological sex assigned at birth
Gender- either the male or female division of a species, especially as differentiated by social and cultural roles and behavior
Holt Carson was a transgender, male in fact. He had been that way for awhile, and was awaiting surgery. He was made fun of, and humiliated everyday, until someone finally stood up for him.
