The Crossing

Have you ever wondered what the after life is like? Well one person more that any other does because they can never reach it. They are doomed to ferry the souls across the river Styx to Elysium for all of eternity, forever doomed to watch the souls enjoy the afterlife that they will never reach. They have been doing their job for so long that they don't even remember their name anymore. The same routine every day for all of eternity until one day a mortal walks onto their barge asking for passage and changes everything.
