"I didn't know why I was chosen, but it was better that it was me rather than Marie. I wouldn't be missed and I didn't have any ties to anyone. Marie had quite a few close friends amongst the villagers and I was relieved she wouldn't be alone after my leaving. We might not have been close, but she was still my sister and I cared for her. I wouldn't be missed by father either. After all, it was he who gave the villagers his permission to send me up the mountains.

I was to be the bride of the land god."

Sang Sorenson finds that her life may be coming to an end at the mere age of sixteen. The residents of her village have decided that she is to be their sacrifice to the Land God and promptly make the arrangements to send her up the mountain.

Unexpectedly, she is saved from certain death by a boy who brings her into his family, offering up their kindness and care without reservation.

Join Sang and the boys on their adventure of self discovery, friendship and love.

"You're different from what I expected," she said softly. "How so?" he asked, glancing at her. "I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare." He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that." OR Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
