Seventeen year old Christopher Leonardo Spencer has it all; big house, numerous cars, and a diverse collection of gadgets that have been given to or bought for him over the years. Being the son of the CEO to Calvin Klein, he is constantly outfitted in the latest gear -- his life is just one long holiday.

Sixteen year old Caleb James Mathews has practically nothing. With his dad falsely imprisoned for murder and his mum permanently disabled after a car accident, he is forced to work every single day of the week to try and keep up with the rent on the family's council flat, in hope that they won't get evicted any time soon. As a result, his grades are suffering -- big time. Being in his last years of his GCSE's isn't exactly helping. Juggling his mum, his education and his work is difficult... his life is just one long work shift.

But for both of them, all of that is about to change.

In a turn of events both boys are nominated to participate in a 'National Exchange'; a new scheme funded by the government where children from families of different incomes swap lives for two weeks. How will both boys cope, living life at the other end of the food chain? Is money really everything, or should other things be valued higher? One thing's for sure; things will never be the same.
