Everyone in town knows about the sea monster. Every night, he goes into town to find his prey. He lures them in with his voice, only to bring them back to the ocean, to eat them. Few survive this, and the people who do, they lose their mind, like they were cursed. You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to! (I don't own any of the characters or art work that appears in this fanfic. All of the characters belong to Rick Riordan.)

Karkat Vantas is kind of just, well, a normal troll, I guess. He moves back to his hometown to try and get his life in check a bit, not expecting to make all of the friends he does on the way, as well as love interests. His life seems to get a lot better after he meets a certain shade wearing blonde named Dave Strider. The two quickly became good friends, both denying their obvious feelings towards one another, and just as they were starting to sort them out together, things just go down hill. In this AU, all of the trolls also live on Earth, and there's no SBURB. The ships is this are Davekat, Rosemary, Dirkjake, slight Erisol and Arasol, Gamtav, as well as a little bit of Vrisrezi, Davejohn, and Davejade I try to write more whenever I can! (Sorry for any grammar mistakes anywhere. This is my first story)

Dave Strider x reader x Karkat Vantas.. Warning: this gets rather violent in some context, blood and gore is fairly frequent. Strong language too, but I don't understand why you need that warning if you got through Homestuck. Dave, Karkat and other Homestuck characters belong to Andrew Hussie. Story belongs to me. Lemon is in there, but you do not need to read it. It's not the best of lemons, it's just kinda ridiculous and stupid. Ps. In the early chapters I may say this is not a Karkat x reader. But Dave himself wants his eyes to stay hidden, and nobody else has ever seen them. He thinks that if anyone did, they would make fun of him and his good reputation would immediately disappear. The two, basically opposites, find that they actually might get along and relate to each other. But who knows what a simple sentence could do? (this is my second fanfic and the first homestuck one i've ever written so if the writing sucks don't judge! also none of the art is mine. ships included will most likely be johndave at the beginning, and throughout the fic theres gonna be erisol, rosemary, some jadenep, johndirk, and vrisrezi! if you don't like one or more of these ships deal with it.)
