A short story about two sister-islands, one over which mysterious clouds gather, but never produce rain (Esdellon), and another that is usually sunny (Asdaeson). The tide of the story swirls around two characters: Caleb, a fisherman's son, and Maerewin, a young woman who spends her introverted life, sitting on the shore, staring off across the bay to Esdellon. She never seems to sleep, never seems to eat, but only to crouch here, under the branches of a willow.
Hope you enjoy! (It's a lot better than that description, I PROMISE)
