The world of Remnant is still recovering after the stunning power play by now wanted criminal Cinder Fall, and the White Fang extremist organization. For the moment, it seems as if things may calm down politically among the nations. While Beacon Academy is a smoldering ruin with a large petrified Grimm dragon frozen to the side of its once proud tower, the rest of the kingdom of Vale has done a marvelous job of restricting Grimm activity to the school grounds only. The neighboring city has begun rebuilding efforts. The scars on those present at the battle however, are somewhat harder to heal. For the four members of team RWBY in particular, coping is a long and painful ordeal, putting them on opposite ends of the globe. However, Salem has no intention of letting the rest of the world recover and respond. She and her organization are on the move, preparing another crippling blow to the four great nations. However, someone or something else has been watching from the shadows, waiting for the right moment to make a move. This new foe has no better opportunity than in the aftermath of the fall of Beacon to strike...
