A Wolf's Shadow

She was born in darkness and raised by no one. She learned from experience, from doing. She found herself watching the packs that passed through all the time, oblivious the the young wolf watching. She wanted desperately to be able to run with others like her. She wanted to have someone to help ease her loneliness, to ease the ache in her heart, the dull stabbing pain that led her to believe that something, some one was missing. Someone important. She was always there, but never seen. She was always listening but never heard. She is a shadow.
