A strange renaissance/modern story, a 15 year old named Jewel meets a not-so-average guy. Nothing can compare to Jason, he is the definition of perfection, but when 100 years of anger and "evil" are released. The town has trouble deciding if they should risk Jewel's life to destroy the mythological powers or kidnap her from the man she loves and the leader of beasts to put an end to the fighting. Either way, Jewel would suffer; her goal is to avoid both endings... will she do anything in her power to stop the hunters, or will she walk away to help her mother, her only living family?
