There is a story the dreamers still tell in hushed whispers. If you are lucky, you might hear the tale of when love still reigned.
While this world was still young, there was a powerful king who came to the throne after his father died. He met a girl, a nobody, really, though she possessed great beauty. The king fell in love with her and forgot his grief. Alas, but fate dealt cruelly with them! For another king, his spirit from another world, was driven out, and he possessed the love-struck king. He was cruel and had no room for love. He suppressed the spirit of the king and threw his beloved out into the cold with nothing, that she might die. The evil king used his black magic and made the king's body cease to age, though he could not rid himself of the soul of the loving king. Legend says there still is a way to defeat the evil king, but it was lost long ago. And so, the people of this world continue on, praying that they do not catch the eye of the immortal, cruel king.

The Purple Eyed Girl
