Driven to the brink of insanity, straddling the demarcation that was a channel leading to Earth's future, was a girl, about 5 foot 5, destined and fated to carry the burden of the world and the next. And the world, having realigned itself so close to Earth's orbit, that it's carried the official term 'next world', is not a heaven but a hell with depths unimaginable. A hell which has let loose the strangest of apparitions, mirrored, distorted 4- D figurines. Only five, led by an unstable, untrustworthy girl by the plain name of Jade, will lead them, to a salvation parallel and yet, incongruent to a determined fate; a salvation which doubled as a capricious, erratic outcome which could very well be their deaths. All five of them. Tom Chance. Isis D'Angelo. Kyra Bones. Jo Oliver. And the scattered vestiges of an almost imperceptible entity... Jade- Teal Foster.

STATUS: COMPLETED. Their worlds have been shattered by evils they weren't able to stop. Their powers, a reminder to all that they have lost. But when the fate of the world hangs in the balance once again these four heroines receive a second chance to become the heroes that they were destined to be all along. Can they come together in time to stop a futuristic threat or will the villain prove to be too powerful all over again? EXCERPT --------------------------------------------------------------- "You think she'll take the bait?" I asked "I have no idea," she admitted. Kadima opened up the portal and we stepped through. It was the only place she could be sure would have no civilians around. The office was stripped and abandoned. It was an old, basic, nondescript building that was set for demolition. It was dark and dusty. "How long until you think they come, if they come." "I don't think it will be long before they realise. I'm sure she must have some way of knowing when the timeline changes." "Suppose the timeline hasn't changed and this was apart of the plan all along," a voice said in the darkness. "What if something as small as this doesn't change the outcome of this timeline," Mistress Mind snickered as she emerged from behind the wall. Her visor glowed in the darkness. She leaned against the wall. "Did you think something this small would be able to stop us." "We had hoped," I fired up my pendent.
