She's rather cold to others, including her younger sister Kyo who asks helps from the Iron Heart player himself. Other than getting through to the Winter Cup victoriously, his other goal is to get her full attention while continuously annoying her, and trying to get friends with her that ends up in a romantic relationship.

One summer afternoon in Teikou Academy's court, the first string regular members is preparing for their practice match against the second and third strings when Nijimura called Coach Shirogane for his granddaughter came by to deliver his freshly cooked lunch. Nijimura steps aside revealing the most beautiful girl they laid eyes on named Kuroko Amaya, Generation of Miracles' love at first sight.
