She looks around the café. All the chairs are empty, there's nothing on the tables, the floor's clean.
She takes a deep breath, letting the emptiness fill her, and breaths out again.
The customers turn up as the clock turns ten past opening hour, and as they receive their orders, the emptiness inside her fills up with... joy, satisfaction, confidence, coffeegrounds.

I look around the café. The emptiness of it fills me up, as a suppressed excitement building up inside me.
As the first customers enter, I feel the café come to life. It shines a little brighter, smells a bit more of coffee, and my smile turns into a natural 'This is exactly where I'm supposed to be, this is where I belong'-smile.

There was something different about this coffee shop. I had been coming here for eight years and I just couldn't find myself ever losing interest in it. I just kept coming back. Hanna had no idea where they were headed, but she was excited to find out. Blake traveled the same path as the night before and seemed to be taking them to Kansas City once more. What was there to do on a cold day in Kansas City? Blake turned the Lexus left, down into an underground parking garage. She had no idea where they were. It had been a while since she had traveled into Kansas City so everything looked new to her thanks to all the construction that's always happening here. Even her old apartment building had been knocked down and revamped. "So, you brought me to an underground parking garage? Thrilling! I love modern architecture!" Hanna said with a joking tone, turning towards Blake. Blake laughed. "We're almost there, I promise. Just a short walk, and you'll know exactly where you are." Hanna cleared her through to respond through a half cracked smile: "You know, I've known you for all of maybe twenty-four hours and you're bringing me to an underground parking garage. Should I call for back up or have the police on speed dial?" Blake whole heartedly laughed at Hanna's question and replied: "Calm down, I'm not a murdered, I'm an attorney, remember? Besides, we'll be out of this parking garage soon, I promise." After finding a parking spot, Blake jumped out of the car and ran around to open Hanna's door, and then laces his fingers through hers as he led her around to the front of the building.
