It's been five years since the plague struck. Leah knows there are other survivors, but she's avoiding them. She is doing just fine on her own. Surviving after everyone she knew died has made her physically strong and honed her intelligence, but she is emotionally devastated. There is nothing to fear if you don't make yourself emotionally vulnerable. James has spent the last five years helping to build up a colony of survivors. He believes in the small town they have populated and its mission to save humanity from extinction. He and his small team of men find scattered people and bring them in. Over the last two centuries, women have fought for and won more and more rights, gaining equality with men. Society, law, and technology bolsters and enforces these rights, but now they are gone. Women's equality with men is over. There are just too few of them. They aren't lesser but greater, more important, more valuable than men. Men are expendable. Men can stay outside alone if they like, but all women must be brought inside the safety of the Colony and properly taken care of. James has been searching the area Leah lives in. Her time of solitude is up. Leah sparks something in James he's never felt before. He's not letting this one get away, certainly not twice. Warning: Contains sex, some violence, occasional foul language, and adult issues. Genre: Science Fiction, Romance, Post-apocalyptic, Dark romance Length: 84,468 words This book has been published on Amazon. The first ten chapters will be updated to what you get in the published novel and will remain here, so you can try before you buy.

The brunette man, with brown eyes of two different shades, looks down at his seven year old child. She hasn't stepped foot in a school before, but she has made herself out to be a genius and he knows this. Mentally forsaken from the moment she learned to think for herself, Alessia Sterling strives for only herself, no matter what comes her way. Will they win, or will their hunger take over? 18 objects. 12 stomachs to feed. 1 "prize." No food. Many characters from ONE including favorites such as Liam, Bryce, and Amelia fight to survive in a competition created by Airy, a competition that contains no food, a competition that forces them to commit to the lifestyle of something they never wanted to be. The question is... Will they win? Or will their hunger take over? COMIC EDITION: The comic is written and drawn on Webtoon, and here too! :) CONFIRMATION: One but I add hunger and also more injures. Also perma-death after a certain point. perma-death means that they can still use the radio but airy cannot respawn anybody. To explain how each batch gets hungry: Batch 3 does not need to eat, batch 2 needs to eat only once every- like- 3 months, batch 1 needs to eat like a human does. FORMATION OF THE IDEA: I was talking about ONE to someone when I realized, do they have to eat in ONE? There are scenes where Liam is eating breakfast and Charlotte is cutting carrots but it's never said if they NEED to eat. They're seen on the plane without any food for over seven months. So I got the brilliant idea to make them get hungry and likely have some characters resort to other sources of food! This is where that one question came from on this quiz that I made: https://uquiz.com/quiz/9bsREU/what-hfjone-character-are-you-most-like-not-accurate WARNINGS: hfjone spoilers, starvation, cannibalism, blood, gore, vomiting, death, infections, poison, hallucinations, memory loss, one-sided relationships, derealisation, hanging, knives, su!c!d3, depression, mild language (Most of the bloody and gory stuff is explained in great detail, oops) And I now realize that most people cannot read my story becuase of the warnings, sorry about that! Story by me One by cheesy hfj BEGAN: September 5th, 2022 ENDED: October 21, 2022 fun fact: most parts here are re-written versions of one i wrote a week previously!!

At first I thought I'd pick something a bit out of my comfort zone (so.... NOT SciFi for once...) to expand my horizon, but when I saw a prompt about time travel I was immediately inspired. Please keep in mind, all of this is WIP! The title, cover, and some of the content might change at any time... I have an outline and I worked hard to come up with a compelling and consistent story line, but due to the nature of the story (timey whimey stuff!) I might have to revise things a few times as I write. I'm grateful for any feedback and I hope you enjoy :)

Only those passionate can survive the firewall. Matt, John, Clarke, and Rose make up a group of friends who've never met in person but share a bond as if they have from spending the last year together in the virtual world on the cusp of obliteration. A year ago, virtual reality had blossomed into a haven for young adults to connect, play, and explore life together. What drove the sudden popularity was a game fueled by players' desires, where they could embody anyone or anything. The four friends were some of the first drawn into this captivating world, their virtual personas becoming well known. But nothing could have prepared them for the sudden emergence of the firewall, a mystery that would change everything. Now, with three days left, four friends have to make what lasting memories they can while avoiding the gaping maw of the firewall when not navigating their lives outside the game. Still, a question looms, with an answer seemingly out of reach. Is there a way to stop the firewall's advance and avoid obliteration, or will this be the end of their friendship? Obliteration's Countdown is a story told from multiple character perspectives.
