Vladimir Petrov is A young funeral director, running the funeral home alongside his friends Curtis Sutton, Madeline Christiston, Colin Smith, and Clyde Davies. He meets Rue Chambers, Madeline's best friend and falls in love. On the night of their engagement, Vladimir disappears. A body resembling Vladimir's is found a few weeks later and it is believed that he was murdered. All of those closest to him are utterly shattered, Especially Rue.
