First of all, this story is also for readers who like long chapters... Thirteen year old Alqamar, she prefers Al, has been at the foster care ever since she can remember. After that, she's been a troubled child. She got into fights with the other girls, which she won, but she is an outcast in every way. She only has one friend, a Japanese boy named Tatakai, or as he likes to be called "Tee". Al is finally adopted by a strange Korean man. He calls himself "Kyung." Al is friends with her new brother, his name is Pangur-Ban. Al also makes two more friends at the school she goes to, named Areum and Fan. Technically, this story is about the fun family adventures they always have! (The boy on the front is Pangur-Ban)

Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either.
