That's exactly what everyone believed. In the small town of Lanos, twenty two year old Katie 'Waves' Pyro was hailed the best surfer in town. Unfortunately, as she won medals and trophies, her parents didn't see any of their daughter's fame. Mr. Pyro was announced brain dead after a bad street fight. Her mother always wanted to surf, but she was paralyzed since a car accident long ago. One week before Katie won her first surfing competition, Ms. Pyro died of a heart attack. Katie was broken and terrified. She was only fifteen and she went through all of that. But friends and the ocean sewed her wounds together. She smiles and acts like nothing is wrong, but then someone enters her life.
