Perrin doesn't remember a time before she was Submerged. Half-in half-out of reality over and over again as they pumped her full of drugs to see how she reacted. Some of it was painful and some of it was bliss. But most of the time, she was lost in conversations with Pandora - a part of her mind that in some stage of her being Submerged came to life, but only for her.
What she doesn't know is that the reason they Submerged her isn't just for experimental reasons. Each dose was trying to hide something - something inside her.
