The Mirror

Adalie is a lonely child. Her mother left her when she was a baby, so she lives alone in a large, empty house with her father. She is hardly allowed to step outside, and her father controls almost all aspects of her life. So Adalie is thrilled to find a friend in the old mirror in the attic. He looks identical to her in every way, and is named Adam. Every day for years, Adalie spends her time up there, talking to this mysterious boy in the mirror. But what happens when her father grows suspicious? Will Adalie live happily, in Adam's wonderful world, or will her father keep her locked up forever?
