That question runs threw Wendy's mind as she has to fight for her life. Wendy was a quiet girl who always wondered what she was going to do, or what she had to do. Wendy never really knew who she was supposed to be, but her quiet life soon changes when a disease breaks across the world, making what used to be your loved ones into what resembled a rotting corpse. They are no longer what used to be your friends or family, but now joining the herd of zombies.
Read Wendy's story of how she some how falls in love, miraculously evades death's hand multiple times, and how she has to fight to keep her sanity. Will she fall under and join the herd, or will she figure out what is going on with her new batch of friends and possibly save the world?

The Infected Mind
[Book 1] Crawlers: once normal people like you or me. They had hobbies, families, friends, interests, but now they are feral monsters. The infection spread, wiping out almost half the human race, and leaving the rest as either Crawlers or Survivors. The infected's eyes will black out, before giant, black, bug-like legs will rip out of their back, giving them a newfound speed and agility, as well as an insatiable bloodlust. Body fluids entering any open wound, including the eyes, mouth, and nose, will seal the person's fate; they are now infected. It won't be long before they start screeching at the moon in a mock howl. The problem is, I am infected. I turned but retained most of my humanity. With my new lifestyle in a new world, I can't expect anything or anyone to act as I predict. Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. The apocalypse came; firstly only with the side effects of another world war, the radioactive making people sick and poisoning the air and food, but then the zombies came. And they hit hard against an already fragile humankind. Not that it matters to me, really, I'm a vampire after all; no zombie can match me and is even fun to bully them around while I have the whole city for myself. As if a swarm of ants would bother the passing tiger. But one thing did, one that was the worst nightmare of any immortal being. Loneliness. And being bored to death on top of that. Good thing that some humans appear close to my territory, that way I have someone to play with; and the mere thought makes my mouth water, so many things I could do to them... And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future.
