~A Merlin Epilogue based off of the TV show's ending~
Many centuries after the dreadful day Arthur Pendragon passed away, a young boy is adopted by a couple in modern England.
Merlin, old and wrinkled from years and years of life makes his annual trek back to the place that Arthur was buried -Avalon.
On the day destiny foretold, the reincarnation of King Arthur will finally be reunited with his friend and servant, Merlin, in this heart wrenching short story to finally give peace to the wonderful tale.

Merlin casts the the most powerful spell in the history of magic to save Arthur. It leaves him in a slump suffering the side-effects. Merlin is plagued with nightmares, hallucinations, and more. Will they be able to help their friend Merlin? Or will Merlin hide the extent of his pain and drown as a result? This story is specifically for fans of the Merlin TV show. We pick up right at the last episode of the show however I made a few changes...This work is my own with the addition of a completely new story line that just continues that heart-felt and silly world from the show that we all love. This story is about love and the struggles that we must overcome in the name of it. A lot of Merthur, but I keep it pretty pg-13 so don't expect a lot of smut. I DON'T OWN ANY OF THESE CHARACTERS or pictures I found them on google so if you know the artists plz comment! Hello! This is my Merlin fanfiction. Since I know I will never get over how Merlin ended, I made this in modern times to describe how Arthur comes back. I do not own any of these characters. I may write a sequel to this story in the future. This story starts out with Merlin and tells a bit about his life since Arthur died. Until one day he sees Arthur running along the path. Merlin talks with Arthur and shortly figures out that he has no idea who Merlin is.
