     The innocent town of Mystic Falls was always home to Blake Gilbert. The town was youthful, and united. Blake lived happily with his family, until the night his parents drove off of Wickery Bridge. He was in the car with his sister Elena. His parents died that night, but Blake and his sister survived. No one knows how they escaped the car.

     As the summer ends, Blake starts his junior year of high school. Just when he thinks his first day will be awful, he meets a boy named Stefan Salvatore who's new to Mystic Falls.

     As Blake and Stefan become closer, they develop a connection. But Blake soon realizes that darkness follows Stefan, and that Mystic Falls has been a supernatural hotspot all along.
