Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: humans and monsters. One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the humans were victorious. They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.

However, the humans later discovered that not all of the monsters were trapped underground, but many still roamed on the surface. These monsters no longer knew how to peacefully coexist with humans, and instead, they brainlessly and indiscriminately killed humans.

An evil sorcerer arose, taking control of the monsters with dark magic. He desired to gain the legendary Triforce and use its power to take over the world. As a result, war once again broke out between monsters and humans, and the humans were less prepared to face this new threat...

Luckily, a hero appeared, with the mark of the Triforce of Courage on his left hand. Using its power, the hero defeated the evil sorcerer and all of his minions, returning peace to the land.

Many years later...
MT. Ebott
201X.

The hero hears of a legend that says that those who climb the mountain never return. Deciding to investigate this legend, he climbs Mt. Ebott and discovers a world buried deep beneath the surface, a world beyond anything he could ever imagine...

For those who desire to read this story, I recommend that you have adequate knowledge of The Legend of Zelda, especially Twilight Princess. Knowledge of Undertale is also recommended, but hopefully it won't be necessary. Also, for anyone wondering, the Link in this story is Twilight Princess Link (hmm, I wonder which game is my favorite, haha)

In the shadows of the uninhabited land lurk rebel Sheikah, who call themselves the Dark Interlopers, who plot against Hylia's human reincarnation, Zelda, and her loyal hero, Link, in secret, building up power to take them both down. Around the same time, Link and Zelda come across a land parallel to the surface, a strange country called Termina, protected by the goddess Terminus. Terminus begs them to help her subdue the mighty Fierce Deity, who was once the goddess's hero before he was corrupted by the demon Majora. Link fights the Deity and defeats him, but he is wounded in the battle and filled with the demon's corruption himself. As he and Zelda return to their own land, the hero slowly starts losing himself mentally and physically, ultimately putting Zelda's life in danger as he tries to fight against something he cannot control. To make matters worse, the Dark Interlopers soon launch a massive attack against the two of them, capturing Zelda and leaving Link for dead. He is found and saved by the mysterious Sheik, the leader of the Sheikah who are still loyal to Hylia. The Calamity has been defeated, Hyrule is safe. It may take a good while but eventually the Kingdom of Hyrule might once return for the first time in a century. Everything is normal, up until something new appeared on the Sheikah Slate. Something that would not only change Link's life but the lives of those who suffered at the hands of the Calamity. Zelda sends Link to investigate what these mysterious new readings mean. His adventure is not over yet... far from it. Inspired by "Romance is in the Air" by @Azadia_the_Rito (please check them out their works are incredible) I've decided to try my hand at making a fanfic with the endgame being my favorite pairing: Link x Revali. I know it may seem odd to spoil but I want people to know what they're getting into. (BTW this is my FIRST time writing one of these so please bear with me) This will not be a purely romance story but it will be a major part later on. I just really wanted to dive into this wonderful world with my own touch, so here's how I'm going to do it. To start Revali is my favorite character in Breath of the Wild and I think all the champions deserve more story and interaction with Link. This will be taking place after Calamity Ganon's defeat so be wary of spoilers. This will be a SLOW burn and when I mean slow I mean like halfway between a snail and a glacier. Not crazy slow but just enough to make it worth the payoff. I'll say that right now no matter what happens there will be a happy ending because I can't bring myself to write a sad one. Not that it won't get sad along the way, oh no I'm going to take hearts and mince them into a fine chopped stew of emotion. I promise however I will preface anything I feel worth warning about in the beginning of each chapter in authors notes. No matter what happens I just want y'all to know that as long as one person smiles, all the work is worth it to me. Hope you enjoy! :)
