The year is 1848, and India Chetham is forced to abandon her comfortable life in Boston after the death of her wealthy father. Just as his will instructed, India and her two younger sisters are sent to Tennessee, to live under the custody of one of her father's old friends, Mr. Alexander Thompson, politician, veteran, slave owner, and former presidential candidate, at his plantation, called Foxglove.

India is less than enthused, to say the least. She hates the Tennessee heat, hates the fact that her new home is run by slave labor, hates how far away she is from her friends, hates how Mr. Thompson seems to constantly be testing her, and finds herself constantly butting heads with Mr. Thompson's adopted son, Elliott.

Here at Foxglove, India finds she has to prove herself more than she has ever needed to in her life. She brazenly stands up to Mr. Thompson, defending her sisters and family, and trying to make her opinion on slavery known. In secret, she begins to teach some of the slaves how to read and write, even going as far as helping them escape on the Underground Railroad.

During all of this, India and Elliott come together in ways that she would have never expected. And, she finds out some surprising family secrets invovling her mother...

I recommend reading the first two parts before this! After only two weeks into the anthro takeover, things have gone right and wrong on both sides. Emma, Cody, Eric, and many more human and engine survivors have fought to escape to a safe haven within the Biltmore estate and village in North Carolina. However, with tension between new and old faces slowly arising, everyone will inevitably have to face the war in order to survive, or at least make it out while staying themselves, physically and mentally. Meanwhile, on the opposite side, June and her friends and family just fighting to stay alive slowly begin to realize they're more important than they think. As not long after, they're forced back into battle to help continue their part in bringing about the end of the human race. However, many don't realize at first that they have more in common than they think. All they know is that many of those they've been acquainted with will likely make it out alive or as themselves. Now it's up to them to partner with their new and old friends and equate one another as allies against powerful forces in order to protect themselves, and all they ever cared about before it's too late. I recommend you be 13 years or older to read this story. ~Book 1~ ❄️not 100% like the movie. I'm gonna be adding my own reasons why Elliot and their mom aren't together. ❄️ Elizabeth (Ella) Oakley is a 15 almost 16 year old girl with a bunch of secrets. She is also Caleb's "sister". Since Bradly is an ass towards both Ella and Caleb they decided to join forces and stick together. Bradley (Brad) is 16 and also has secrets. They sick up for each other and do fun things together. He loves his dad and doesn't see the wrong in most things. One day Caleb tells Ella that Bradley and him are going on a trip with their dad and that she should go. She said yes, of course. Little did she know, what started out the shooting lessons in the middle of the woods would turn into their worst nightmare. Bradley has to reveal some secrets along with Ella and he has to start using his brotherly love and instinct to survive. What happens when Ella discover the biggest secret the boys have. And her life is put on the line ___________________________________________ "I don't hate you," he says getting up," I never have!" "What do you mean. I thought- you just treat me like shit," I tell and walk up to the window "I-I'm just...forget it," he says plopping backdown on the bed "What is it," I ask walking up to him "I can't tell you," he says shaking "Why not," I sit next to him He looks at me and says, "Because. He'll hurt you." ___________________________________________ 🚨 I wrote this story YEARS ago, so it is a bit cringey. ⚠️ WARNING⚠️ : Cussing, mental and physical abuse.
