Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand? Couldn't you notice the warmth as they gazed at you? They search for you in every corner, If only you realized how they silently echoed the emotions I couldn't articulate. They say, "Eyes never deceive." But what about yours? They played a trick on me when they met mine, painting a facade of a world that wasn't real. They made me feel loved, Leading me into a belief that crumbled, louder than your spoken promises. Why did they betray me? Was it your eyes or you that masked the truth?" He demands to know why I pulled a knife on him instead of just telling him he was in danger. I explain to him that the reason for the dagger was glaringly obvious if you consider the way he acted when I did use it. I can't help but laugh at the audacity of him to be angry with me for how I chose to save his life. "You really haven't changed." His head snaps up at this, and I see his eyes searching my face. "This isn't the kingdom, Jasper, these peasants aren't at your mercy." I see the blood drain from his face, and recognition clicks in his eyes.

It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance.
