How would Patricia detach herself from a bunch of Lartruses, the highest ranked creatures in the Vintrese, the vampires' mainland, especially when she was supposed to work with them in finding the missing pieces of Arca?

"What took you so long, Patricia?" he gradually stood up. Pumunta siya sa direksyon ko. Sa bawat hakbang niya ay ang pagtunog ng tanikala sa kanyang mga paa. The chains emitted creepy sounds as it approach me.
"Anong nangyari. . .Bakit-" naguguluhan kong tanong. Unti-unti akong lumapit sa kanya.
"I'm freezing." his voice is as cold as ice. "Can't you come near?" he asked.
I felt a weakness pulling me in as I walk towards him. I hold onto the rails. I know it's stupid of me to come nearer. But an uncertain force-like field brings me to the devil.
Nakaharap na kami sa isa't-isa. Bigla na lamang akong namanhid na tila di ko na nararamdaman ang lamig.
He lifted his hands and it reached my left cheek. Saglit akong napapikit.
Pakiramdam ko ay nanindig ang mga balahibo ko sa batok. All I can feel is his gentle touch as he caresses it.
