Children that were filled with energy poison, were left in the forest to wander by themselves. Some became wild and became labelled as human- animal (ani-human) whereas others became human like and became very dangerous. Nina is one of the younger spies and she just got assigned to patrol the forest. She was disguised as an energy child and had to find out what the EC were up to. Jamie is an energy child. He has been in the forest for eight years, also known as the longest forest survivor. Before he became an energy child, Jamie used to be a civilian of the city. Now all Jamie dreams of is finding his family, who are still in the city. However from what Jamie knows is that the city doesn't accept children from the forest.
