After surviving in the zombie apocalypse alone, Kirstie Maldonado finds herself face to face with another human being for the first time in months. Inexplicably, she trusts this stranger, who helps her begin to understand that survival together is so much easier than survival alone. In the year to come, the two go on to meet more and more survivors, and this group of people gradually realize how lucky they are to have found one another.
