Living her whole life in the mountains with only her dad and brothers as company, Billie has learned long ago how to take care of herself. She hunts, grows her own vegetables, makes her own clothes when needed. Billie doesn't need anyone to take care of her. Billie doesn't agree with the girls at school, thinking they need a guy to take care of them. She has been taking care of her dad and brothers since her mom died when she was ten. Yes, Billie wants to fall in love, she just doesn't want to be owned. Harry hates this backwoods town his parents made him move to, he's used to skyscrapers, streets and Starbucks on every corner. Not hillbillies, woods, dirt roads and animals. As far as he's concerned most the people here didn't even speak English. Wanting nothing more than to finish the year so he can leave, Harry is determined to hate everyone here. What happens when the mountain girl meets the city boy? Will they get along? Or will they hate each other at first sight? Will love learn to grow in the shadows?
