I swallowed his words and they sat heavy in my stomach. Pulled down by their weight, the waves lapped at my face until they completely enveloped me. I choked on the darkness that surrounded me, my throat was tight, my lungs filled with his heavy, heavy words. Desmond wasn't my life preserver in this ocean of doubt - that was my mistake and greatest fear. He was my anchor. He was tied around my midsection, constricting and drowning me. I fumbled with the knots, trying to set myself free. The only way I would to be able to live is if I got out. And I couldn’t.

I took a step towards the door but his hands latched onto my hand and I was suddenly pulled into his arms. "You're not going to step out of this house." "I am not going to sleep with you." I gave him a shove but he didn't bulge. "I never will." "You never will?" He asked pulling me till I completely fell on him. "Think again Roe, your sister... and your uncle and aunt." All bravardo left me and dread settled in my mind. "I can make a phone call and make them pay for your decisions." He smiled as if on victory as teares brimmed my eyes. "You wouldn't." It came out as a whisper even before i could stop. His smile widened as he leaned down. "Try me." He whispered and a shudder ran down my spine. "You're a monster." The water work started even when I didn't want to cry infront of this man. "Yes, I am a monster. The kind that people warn you to stay away from but you're in my path, get used to listening than crossing me every chance you get." "Never." I stepped on his feet and pushed him away from me. **** Roe knows a lot of things.
