They say betrayal never comes from your enemies. I used to think that was just something people said to feel better about their broken hearts. Until mine shattered too. The night it happened, everything changed. I lost my best friend. I lost my boyfriend. But worst of all... I lost myself. It's funny how a single moment can split your life into before and after. Before, I was the girl who believed in love, in loyalty, in forever. After, I was the girl standing in the ruins of what used to be her world, gasping for air, screaming into the silence, wondering why. Why me? Why now? Why them? So, I ran. Packed what was left of me and left the pieces behind-what else could I do? I moved cities. Moved in with my cousin. I told myself I needed a break, a fresh start. I told myself I wasn't looking for anyone. I was here to rebuild, quietly, carefully. Just me and the pain that still lived under my skin. But then... I saw him. At the club. Dark suit. Brooding eyes. Hands in his pockets like the world bowed at his feet. He didn't just walk in; he owned the room. The kind of man who didn't need to speak to be heard. I didn't know his name. I didn't know his story. But I felt his eyes on me like a touch that burned. He was power. He was danger. He was everything I told myself to avoid. But as fate would have it, the man who never chased anyone... noticed the broken girl who stopped believing in love. And maybe-just maybe-he'd be the one to help me believe again. This is the story of how I broke... And how he found every shattered piece.

"Three weeks. That's how long I got to have drama-free. I'm not sure what is happening to me or to Oakwood. Nothing's the same since I rolled into town and it just keeps getting weirder. Suspicious agents in suits roam the streets without an explanation. They're staring straight at me. The new Chemistry teacher is NOT who he says he is. I'm doing things I never thought I could. Like, mutant-level things... Lauren, Luc's dead twin sister, hid something from everyone. Something important that may have lead to her demise and that could lead to ours. Hunters are in town. I never knew four words could contain so much dread and terror. I'd rather deal with the Wanderers. I'm on the brink of a breakdown. I need help..." BOOK #2 IN THE SERIES! Ignorance is not bliss... In the wake of ridding Oakwood of Wanderers, other dangers come creeping in and they're somehow linked to Luc's absent twin. The past returns to haunt the mutants in inconspicuous ways. Riley's life is yet again in jeopardy, but this time she's not alone. Luc and his family are all thrown into the teetering balance. More secrets are uncovered. A trap dawns on them all. Invisible threats start crawling from all directions. Who is the real enemy? TW : behaviours of depression and PTSD are displayed. I don't name them, but one of the character will be struggling a lot. It may not be suitable for everybody. Other adult matters are briefly included, but nothing explicit or intense. Rewriting specifications : the main points of the story and end of the book will remain the same, am just going to change a few ways of getting there and adding some extra spice. Feel free to pause the read until the REWRITING sign disappears.

Hunter Anther was like an open book, he'd never been afraid to be his true self. Especially his sexuality. However not everything is for everyone. Being born to the one of the largest pack to ever exist, he wasn't accepted. Everyone hated him and often bullied him, even his family. He'd hoped that after meeting his mate, regardless of gender he would finally find peace and happiness. But the moon goddess truly wasn't fond of him because in addition to being an outcast, he wasn't blessed with a wolf. What happens when his future Alpha, aka biggest bully and former friend turns out to be his mate. Will he accept and care for him or make him lose the last bit of hope he had? Like a saying goes 'The grass isn't always green on the other side.' *** "I didn't mean it.. I.. I was young and ignorant..." he tried to explain while clenching my hand, I looked at him in disgust and pulled my hand away. "What about me? How old wad I to deserve all the things you did to me?! Tell me, how was I different from you? Four years ago you rejected me after everything you've done to me. It wasn't enough punishment for you, you didn't even spare me a glance after ruining me. You left me, you are not gay." My voice trembled bit at the end but my face remained as emotionless as ever. I will never give him the satisfaction of seeing me vulnerable, not again. But why does my heart feel like it's bleeding? Shouldn't I be hating him and happy that he's on his knees begging me. So why am I tearing along with him? **** 25/02/24 - 9/08/24 **** A/N How many of us believe in second chances? Does love really conquer it all? This is not a 'love is blind' story, if you're looking for one.

Everyone has heard of the story. After the Knights betrayed the system, were executed for their crimes, and were forgotten to time, evil began to rise one more, even in the absence of the Divilamu. So the highest sorcerers and elites opened a permanent bridge to another world, known as the great Summoning, and brought with it, champions from an unknown dimension, blessed with incredible powers. They took the task of defending the land from the darkness, and creatures that tainted the light, and issued a new era of peace. More powerful than any other race, they quickly became the ruling class. Now they rule behind any government, hunting and destroying threats. With a wide range of abilities, they saw no resistance. They were called Aldaraians. Jack is a simple farmer, living in the comfy town of Rorin. Like 90% of the population, he is a normal human. He does not mind, as he had a loving wife and daughter. A daughter who dreams of joining the ranks of Aldaraians. Then Jack comes home and finds his family dead. He devolves into despair, and then, clear thought, and rage. People he trusted neglected their duty to protect. Jack makes a twisted journey of revenge, making a few acquaintances along the way, he will take them down, by whatever means necessary. He knows deep down he will not survive, but he just wants to give them a scar, so they never forget him. How would you feel? If you were nothing? If gods from another dimension roamed, and did whatever they pleased. The old gods are nowhere to be found? The only gods are the ones that you see everyday? And most importantly, where is the line drawn, between Good and evil? Join Jack on this dark take on the implications of isekai. Will he get his revenge, or will he die, and life will stay the same as he rots in his grave?
