What if Remus was a mute? And Sirius was his only friend, and James, Peter and basically everyone bullied him, when Sirius wasn't around that is. To make things worst, Remus is gay, Remus wrote it down to tell Sirius, and he accidentally left the paper in the common room, James got ahold of it and told everyone. Also Remus is a werewolf, that's the only Sirius dose not know about Remus doesn't want to chase away his only friend. Remus is also disowned from his family once they found out he is gay, he got a howler at the beginning of the year.
