Hey there :) I'm Katherine Smith, but they call me Kathy. I'm 25 years old right now but I'm telling this story as if I were still 15. In this story you will get to know my life from my 15 year old until my 25 year old perspective. I will be sharing with you my drama, happy, sad, funny and boring moments. You'll also meet my friends (like sisters) Paisley, Marcy, Nicole, and Pamela. Also my "guy" friends: Jake and Joseph. I only have 6 friends, but I didn't need more, I just needed them. In addition you'll meet my sister Angelique, and my brother Soasih. Some details about me: I am "emo" rocker, my favorite colors are black, red and purple. My favorite band is BVB, but I still listen to other bands (which I'm not gonna mention...too much.) I have brown hair, green eyes and pale skin. I struggle with anorexia so I'm really skinny, but I'm not bulimic, I just find food disgusting. I speak in Spanish, English and Swedish. The Wild Escape
Katrina Mars has always had a special connection with her older sister, Keeley, who graduated the year Katrina was in eighth grade. That connection was the same kind of love for pop punk/alternative rock music and their desire to be happy helping one another and others. The two had always been best friends as sisters, and they had always been there for each other. Keeley was even the only friend Katrina ever had, even after she went off to college. Ever since Keeley left for college (which is eight hours away from Katrina's home), Katrina has felt lost, confused, lonely, and sad, not knowing what to do at all with no one to turn to. About five months after Keeley left, at a doctor's visit, Katrina discovers that she has been diagnosed with depression. Although this disappoints her, it is not surprising... For the next couple of years, her parents have become worse and worse towards her, mentally abusing her because of the music she likes, the way she dresses, and her normal personality. This worsens her depression, and being ignored and lonely doesn't help. This is all until she meets Sam Browman, a kid in school who is a lot like her: dresses "emo," listens to "emo" bands, sings and plays a lot of instruments, and goes through troubles at home. Who knows what may happen to these kids who connect through both having troubles at home? This story is set in the year 2011, when My Chemical Romance was together (before the breakup and reunion).
