The moon light shone above them, her motionless body laid unconscious on the cold ground. His face was flushed covered with tears as he saw her laying on the ground, he rushed to her shaking her wildly by the shoulders but there was no response and worst of all there was nothing he could do.

"Please wake up." I said as I held his hand. I looked for any sign of response; a movement beneath an eyelid, a twitch of a finger. Nothing. He was just... blank. I felt the tears come. I played with his hand in mine; traced invisible messages in his palm with my finger, hoping just maybe he'd magically be able to get them. Tears started falling down my cheeks. I held his hand gently against my lips. Tears dropped on his fingers until they were as wet as my eyes. I rested my head on his limp hand. "I told you I needed you to stay."
