When a multi-billion dollar company creates a series of patches called Links designed to simulate human emotions, the market is turned upside down. But there are some definite downsides.

Justice Eve was a hacker with growing recognition until she got into Links. Now, two years later, she's been arrested more times than she can count for the illegal sale and abuse of them. She's an addict, pure and simple, and she hates it.

So when a representative from the company offers her a new life, one without her continually worsening addiction or a criminal record, she's eager to accept. There's just one problem.
