The Torment
December twentieth is the day I remember being brought into the asylum for the first time. Like any typical psychopath, I screamed. I cried. I remember snatching the nurse's hair until she screamed and I was slapped into unconsciousness and thrown into the room. The only difference? I wasn't a psychopath. For the first few days, I would cry maniacally upon hearing any nurse go by, to catch one's attention and tell her that I wasn't insane. "That's exactly what an insane person would say" They said, unbothered and it was as if my fate rested in the mouldy walls of the Asylum. She said to herself trying to calm her heartbeats. She stood right in front of the dusty glass door. Placing both her hands on it she tried to push the door. For the split of a second she saw a young lady, her hands and face covered in blood, impatiently banging on the door. The wind around her went crazy. She heard random whispers in her head. Rhea was unable to focus on anything around her but the lady. The lady was saying something but for Rhea it felt like some random lips movement. She was scared out of her wits. Then suddenly everything went dead silent. The lady vanished. The whispers and the wind stopped. But then Rhea saw light imprints of blood on the glass door under the dusty layer. ************************************ This book basically contains short horror stories of my own imagination. All while locked in a celled room and forced to collaborate with some of the best and worst people I could meet in my 23 years of life. But this asylum holds more secrets than it does people.
