Soleil is one of the few selected to get a chance into the future. The project has taken years to perfect, but finally, it's ready. The next three centuries for him will be spent frozen in a cryogenic pod and when he awakes, he'll be in an entirely different time. The plan isn't foolproof and he accepts the risks, but when something really does go wrong, it's far different from anything they'd expected. 
    
    "The room was as plain as they came: white walls, white floor, a single window. It stank of cheap medicine and cheaper booze and Soleil knew this room would be one thing he wasn't going to miss. Not that he'd be conscious enough to miss anything. For him, it would be only as long as a good night's sleep.
