Everybody lies. That's something that everyone knows, has witnessed, and has done. Since we were little kids, we felt the need to lie in order to protect ourselves. Sometimes, it never ends there for some people. Sometimes it becomes a way of life, how people make it in life. They lie to better themselves.
But sometimes lying too much, will only destroy everything you've worked so hard to create. Sometimes there will be someone to look through your facade. Sometimes the lies will catch up with you. And sometimes, you lose yourself in what you create.
This is what Karina Kelly experienced when lying became her third language, right next to self destruction. After the years she lied, pretended to be what she's not, and what she is, she has forgotten who she is. She can no longer tell the difference between the truth, and the lie. But it's not only herself that she's destroying, those that lover her are being destroyed along with her and her lies. She has lost control, and now she no longer trusts herself. How can she when she doesn't even know who she truly is?
Ella is falling apart trying to live a "perfect" high school life. Then she meets Ren, who can see past her scars. Suddenly perfection isn't her only option.
