Only book one in the series. An action romance story in a apocalyptic time period. Three teenagers struggle against a fight against creatures that have killed off the people of their world. Through love and friendship, they really can't do anything special. Young Emma doesn't want this story to turn out into the cliche it has already presented itself to be. She is determined that she will not being holding a gun and killing the creatures that so badly want to eat her. Plus, she is completely grossed out by them. So better let the two boys she is with take care of that while she sits in the back seat of their stolen little Honda. She will have to remind herself to put a thank you note on the grave of whoever car this was before they died.

The only thing that keeps him going is his excitement for a school camping trip that is coming up with his best friend Edward. After a little mishap while hiking down from their camp site, Anthony and his major crush fall down the side of the mountain and get stuck, then get chased by a gun-wielding maniac into a cave. After what seems like days, they make it out of the cave alive, only to find out that they have ended up in a new world: a world where nothing makes sense. There are giants and leprechauns and shapeshifters...but there is also a great darkness that is out to destroy everyone-and everything-that it sees. Young Anthony finds out that it is up to him and Emma to save this new world with great powers that he had no idea he had, and make it home before anybody suspects a thing. Told from a first-person point-of-view, it goes into detail about the thought processes of a young man who has everything to lose. The protagonist deals with real life struggles every day, including the death of his friend, his dad who left him at an early age, and the pain of seeing his little sister being hurt by her boyfriend. He also has to take charge and become a hero for those who can't against an unwavering bully in a far-away world. My book blends fiction with reality, as the reader follows along in the life of a shy high school student who gets thrown into many situations he must overcome as he finds out who he truly is and why it is him who needs to save the world, while keeping the reader guessing every step of the way.Complete

She becomes friends with her son Scott and his best friend Stiles. All she wants to do is end the pain and the horrible memories. But what happens when she meets Derek Hale? Will they be more than friends? The first thing he noticed about her was her eyes full of pain, he knew he had to protect her from the world. But Derek has a dangerous past that keeps catching up with him and soon to Alex. Will he be her reason to fight or will she be the one saving him?
