For centuries mankind has been fascinated with the idea of discovery new lands, the earliest use of the term "New World" dates back to the 1500's, feeding their need for discovery and expansion. Over the next century Earth had made countless achievements in Space Exploration were made, it wasn't until the late 21st century that the first human colony on Mars was establish. This milestone proved humanity could both survive and thrive off of Earth. Eliminating any doubt that humanity was capable of claiming the stars themselves. The Horizon Project became humanity's most daring project, the construction of humanity's first ever Interstellar Colony Ship. Named after the Project since the success of this Project meant new shores were on the Horizon.
