I felt this strange- almost alluring feeling whenever I wore that sparkly and disgusting clip. It just took me in completely. It was like I was in a trance, a magical spell which made me do nice things to people which would never in my life be on my to-do list.

I stop talking, realising what a total idiot I sound like, while his grin broadens. In that second, I am grateful for my dark skin, as he can't see me blushing. "Tongue-tied?" My cheeks get hotter. "Shut the f*ck up." He actually laughs. "Don't worry, honey," he says, his hot breath brushing against my face, shocking me. When did he get this close? "Oh," he said, as my back hit the wooden wall. Damn it, of course. With nowhere to go, his arms locked me in between him and the wall.
